the excitement or even terror that he felt when the incident happened. There is very little
punctuation in his description and he seems to describe the whole incident
in one breath.

Sgt. Stephen Preston
This letter is the final letter that the parents of Sgt. Stephen Preston received from
their son. It is the letter that all airmen and men from the other services, left in
places, like their locker or a table near their bed and was to be sent to their next
of kin if they succumbed to the finality of war.
